The Caption applet displays a string which is scrolled in from the right border, character by character. If your browser supports Java, the caption of this page is created by the Caption applet (otherwise it is simple HTML which looks like the applet but of course doesn't scroll).
I have no idea what useful purpose this applet could serve. I just wanted to have a selfmade applet on my pages. This is my first attempt at writing an applet.
